KIKU — The Art of Japanese Dining Since 1993
What is the secret behind Kiku?
KIKU is more than a restaurant. It’s a legacy, a timeless fusion of Japanese precision, Mediterranean elegance, and visionary entrepreneurship..
Founded in Athens in 1993, Kiku became the first Japanese restaurant in the Greek capital, quickly gaining a reputation among Greece’s elite and global tastemakers. Over time, it evolved into a luxury dining institution, redefining sushi culture in Greece.A Legacy Begins
T he story began with Leonidas Goulandris, whose family holds one of the most prominent names in global shipping. For 18 years, under his guidance, Kiku became synonymous with elegance, discretion, and top-tier Japanese cuisine.
A NEW Vision
In 2011, Kiku was acquired by George Dragoumanos and George Andritsos, two entrepreneurs with a shared vision. Mr. Dragoumanos, a London-based real estate investor with four decades of experience, brought strategic clarity and business excellence. Mr. Andritsos, a bold and talented young visionary, infused Kiku with new creative direction, transforming it into Greece’s most iconic sushi destination.
Together, they aimed higher to evolve Kiku into a globally recognized brand, where Japanese cuisine becomes culinary art, not mass consumption.
A Farewell & A New Chapter
In 2023, George Dragoumanos passed away, a key figure in Kiku’s growth and direction. His vision, values and legacy continue to inspire everything Kiku stands for today.
That same year, a new chapter began with the entrance of Mr. Dimos Stasinopoulos, founder of S One Hospitality Group that leads the Greek restaurant industry, with the highest number of locations and a powerful presence nationwide, as a strategic partner.
The Kiku Ethos
K Kiku doesn’t aim to become another franchise chain. Our ambition is singular:
To be the No.1 quality restaurant in Greece, and one of the most respected Japanese dining concepts internationally.
Our clientele consists of globally minded professionals, frequent travelers, and connoisseurs who seek excellence not for show, but for substance.
W ith two locations and one unified philosophy, Kiku continues to grow with integrity, purpose and a deep respect for tradition. Our foundation is clear:
Japanese Italian gastronomy as craftsmanship, not convenience
Dining as experience, not transaction
A restaurant as a living legacy with a past, present, and a bold future.
"we don't follow trends,We define them."
